Our Program

Montessori education inspires us to celebrate the whole child, valuing the human spirit (physical, social, emotional, and intellectual). Our beautifully well-prepared environment engages and appeals to the child’s natural curiosity. Self-directed activities and the exploration of concrete material stimulate and refine the child’s senses, giving them an opportunity for self-discovery and self-awareness.

Maria Montessori believed that education is something that happens spontaneously. When given the freedom to explore, children learn without effort. Peace education is deeply rooted in Montessori education. At Chirping Spirits, we believe in promoting peace and respect for children of all ethnicities. We provide a safe space for children to share their thoughts and feelings, guiding them to express themselves peacefully and respectfully.

“We must help the child to act for himself, will for himself, think for himself; this is the art of those who aspire to serve the spirit.” Maria Montessori

Art

At Chirping Spirits, we believe that the benefits of art in child development are immeasurable. Children learn about the world through colors, shapes, and sizes. Art encourages self-exploration and expression. As they create freely, they begin to develop their own individuality. We strive to engage and provide children with an exciting adventure through art at every opportunity!

Movement

Chirping Spirits fosters natural movement, and children LOVE to move! Movement builds the trust children need to recognize their capabilities, whether they are freely moving within our classroom environment or exploring our outdoor space. The body is a tool for learning. Children who are moving freely are given the opportunity to fine-tune their senses, organize their fine motor skills, and orientate themselves. In addition, movement is a pathway to cognitive development, allowing children to uncover and discover themselves independently!

Nature

We love to explore, learn, and play in Nature! Nature provides countless opportunities for children to grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. While interacting with nature, children learn by experimenting, freely thinking, and questioning their self-discoveries. Bringing this "whole" learning together, children are exposed to real-life opportunities enticing their curiosities.
